Key speakers from across the sector within the region gave their insight into the current state of play of Low Carbon Building within the region.
Paul Davies of Wates Living Space provided a thought provoking presentation identifying the key opportunities and drivers for construction companies and also highlighted the downfalls of the lack of recognition by valuers of energy efficient homes.
Professor Chris Gorse gave an emotive presentation highlighting the moral and ethical drivers for industry to step up to addressing the challenge that faces us all, he highlighted the key data and findings of the Centre for the Built Environment's Sustainable Buildings research group and offered practical solutions to overcome some of the industry's misperceptions of energy efficient building.

To build on the success of this event, the Centre for Knowledge Exchange would like to host future seminar events to take place on a quarterly basis, covering key topics that were highlighted as priorities by the attendees at the Sustainable Building Event. These will include Part L regulations, retrofitting, Passiv Haus, and sustainable business models.
